John Boyle

Partner Boyles Solicitors

John Boyle, an honours graduate of the University of Glasgow (LLB Hons), holds a diploma in legal practice (Dip LP) from the University of Dundee and is a Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of Strathclyde.

John provides advice and representation in all aspects of law with particular emphasis on criminal defence, family litigation and claims advice.

John is an honorary lecturer at the Law Faculty of the University of Dundee and is a tutor in Criminal Advocacy for the Post Graduate Diploma in legal practice at the University of Dundee.

John was admitted as a Solicitor and Notary in 2006.

William Boyle


William Boyle is an honours graduate from the University of Dundee (LLB Hons) and after a short period of teaching at university and working as a legal research assistant with the Scottish Law Commission, he completed his training with Edinburgh and Dundee Law firms. Mr Boyle has practised for over 30 years and is one of Scotland’s best known litigators. He continues to provide advice and representation on all aspects of Law including, Litigation, Civil Law, Criminal Law, Family Law and Compensation claims.

He is a former Chairman of the Supplementary Benefits Tribunal and founder member of the Dundee Bar Association. Mr Boyle is an honorary lecturer in Law at the University of Dundee and was instrumental in assisting setting up the Universities Law Faculty free legal advice clinic.

Mr Boyle is appointed by the Law Society of Scotland to their panel for reparation claims advice and actions for clients referred to by them.

Mr Boyle was admitted as a Solicitor and Notary in 1977.
